Google SiteMaps

Sitemaps are a way to tell Google about pages on your site that they might not otherwise discover. The URL we provide is an xml generated page that will list all of the pages on your website that are presently in your primary and secondary menus; this also includes nested menus.

To utilize Google sitemaps go to Google.com then login or create an account. Once you are logged in go to your account settings then click Webmaster Tools. In order to setup your site map you will need to do the following:

  1. Add your site as shown below (use your own domain name)
  2. You will be asked to verify ownership of your site. Do this by clicking "alternative method" then select the option to "add a meta tag to your site's home page".

Copy the metatag information then paste it into your administrative Metatags page within "Header code".

  3. After your site has been verified click "Submit a SiteMap" on the bottom right-hand side of the page then click the "Submit a SiteMap" button . Add the following URL to the field provided by Google:
    rss/sitemap.asp?id=[Your Account ID goes Here]
